Men’s Gathering – The Way
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NIV
Tuesday Evenings 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Our Purpose is to lead men in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to make Him the center of our lives.
- Help men to grow in their relationship with Christ:
1 Timothy 4:15 (NIV) 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone
may see your progress.
1 Peter 2:2 (NIV) 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in
- Make Jesus the center of our lives:
Galatians 2:20 (NIV) 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The
life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Make our lives count for Christ:
Acts 20:24 (NIV) 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the
race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of
Colossians 1:10-12 (NIV) 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all
power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and
giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you [a] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
- The Bible is the only Authority:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God [a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- Be men of prayer:
1 Timothy 2:8 (NIV) 8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
- Meet with like minded men:
Hebrews 10;24-25 (NIV) 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
- Release it:
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
